One of the fastest ways to make money online is to make money as a freelancer. And in today’s world, it’s become even easier with websites and services like Upwork.

What is a Freelancer?

A lot of people think of a freelancer as someone with great skills like coding, web design, graphic design, accounting and etc.

Even though these are skills of a freelancer, you don’t need these high-end technical skills to become a freelancer.

Freelancer is pretty much a person that works for themselves. This person is free from any responsibility that a boss or a business might hand down to them.

So for example, if you babysit kids but don’t work for any agency or company, you are a freelance babysitter.

If you don’t think you have any skills to become a freelancer, don’t worry. Later in this article, I will show you 4 ways (or things) you can do as a freelancer to make money.

Before websites like Upwork (of course, this being the best), you would have to contact people or businesses to offer your freelancing skills. This took a lot of your time and made freelancing very hard to do for a long period of time.

Upwork connects freelancers with people looking for their skills.

For example, if I needed help building a website, I can go to Upwork and post a job. From there, freelancers (like yourself) would apply for the job. If I like what a freelancer can offer, I will hire them.

This way, everything is secure. You finish the job and you get paid. And if something goes wrong, you can leave it to Upwork to resolve it.

How To Make Money On Upwork?

Now here is the million-dollar question. Actually, it’s not as hard as you think.

We will discuss how to make money on Upwork with no experience (or with zero skills) later in this article.

Step #1 – Create A Free Account

The very first thing you need to do is create a free account on Upwork.

You will be signing up as a freelancer.

You will go through various steps in the sign up process. They will also require you to verify yourself using some type of ID (normally a drivers license).

Step #2 – Find Jobs (or Gigs)

Once you login, at the top, you will see a search bar to find jobs or gigs.

This is where you can search for jobs and apply for it.

Step #3 – Apply For Jobs

The last and finally step is to apply for the job.

It’s simple as that! Once you get hire and complete the job, you make your money.

4 Method To Making $20,000 or more a month from Upwork

Now, you are probably thinking that you need a whiteboard and some drawing skills, right? Well you don’t need either of those things.

There are websites like VideoScribe where you can create these videos online by using a simple drag and drop tool.

You do not need to be tech savvy or anything. It’s so simple that anyone can do it.

#2 – Testimonial

Testimonial is a video that you make where you pretty much give you a review on a product or service that you used.

Now, you don’t need anything fancy. You can use the camera on your phone and take a selfie video or even use the webcam on your laptop. The idea behind the testimonial is that the video does not have to be perfect, it needs to be real.

When a new business starts or a new product is launched, there isn’t many users to provide testimonials. So these companies and businesses are looking for people like you to provide on.

#3 – Graphics (Logos, Instagram post, etc.)

Earlier, I said you don’t need to be a graphic designer to make money from Upwork. And this is still true.

But if you can make graphics like logos or Instagram post, you can make a lot of money.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to sign up for a $1,000 photoshop course. I am going to show you how you can do this with no skills for free.

Don’t start crying yet. I have told you that you don’t need any skills like coding to make money on Upwork.

There are hundreds to thousands of software that will let you build mobile apps using drag and drop tools. No coding required.

If you do a quick Google search, you will see how many software there are that will let you do this.

If you can build an app for a company, they will pay you anywhere from a few thousand dollars to tens of thousands of dollars.

So there you have 4 different and easy methods that you can use to make $20,000 or more per month on Upwork.

Why Do Some People Make It & Some Fail?

Here is the problem, 99.999999% of the people reading this article will not do it. They will not take action. They will say, “I will start tomorrow.”

After reading this article, the first thing you need to do is sign up on Upwork. This takes just a couple of minutes.

Then you need to actually try it. It may sound hard or difficult but how do you know without trying it. So spend some time looking over the 4 methods above and learning how to do it. Maybe the first one is hard but after you do a few, you will easily be able to start making money monthly on Upwork.

My advice is to not do everything at once. Take it one step at a time. For example, maybe start off with whiteboard videos and after you get good at it, start building apps for people. But you need to do it and try it now.
